    Assassins attack and leaves a traditional Ruler half dead in Bayelsa

    A group of suspected assassins on Tuesday reportedly attacked a prominent ruler in Bayelsa state.

    The ruler, the Ibedaowei of Oluasiri clan, Chiefson Awululu was attacked at about 2:30am at his residence in Yenagoa, the state capital.


    Reports say the assassins scaled the fence of his private residence and broke through a burglary proof door into his bedroom.


     They reportedly inflicted multiple machete cuts on him.


    The said assassins were said to have returned at about 5am, but the paramount ruler as at then had been rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
