The governor made this assertion when the leadership of
Ohanaeze Ndigbo South West zone paid a courtesy to visit in his office in
Oshogbo.
Ogbeni Aregbesola recalled that the case of abandoned
properties
after the civil war did not occur in the Yoruba land which was a testimony
of the love that has existed between the Yorubas and the Igbos.
He said he spent about eight years as a commissioner in
Lagos witnessing the industrious nature of the Igbos and the new structures
they put up daily in Osun is as a result of their successes in Yoruba land. He
pledged that the Yorubas will continue to live in peace with the Igbos.
Responding, the South West Leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Pince
Nathaniel Uzoma, informed the Governor, they have come to pay him homage as
Osun State was hosting the rotational meeting of the south west zone. He appreciated
the governor and the Yoruba Nation for bequeathing to their Igbo brothers, a
land of great fertility.
Those present during the visit include, Prince Nathaniel
Uzoma, {Ekiti} Pastor Ferguson Okoli, {Lagos} Chief Uzodimma Iwuoha, {Ogun}, Chief
Okechukwu Okorie, {Ondo} Chief Iheonunekwu George, {Osun} and Chief Emeka
Enwereonye, {Oyo}.
