    Police Releases Fresh Statement On The Case Of The Man Who Named His Dog ‘Buhari’


    President Muhammadu Buhari has been exonerated from the trial of Joachim Iroko Chinakwe, the man who named his dog ‘Buhari’.


    The Ogun State Police Command has released a clarification press release on the travails of Joachim Iroko Chinakwe who is currently standing trial at the Ogun Magistrate court over an ‘act’ that threatened public peace.

    According to the police, the case at hand which has been misinterpreted by a section of the media has no links with President Muhammadu Buhari but the fact that crisis almost broke out in the Ketere area of Ogun State between the man and an his neighbour, Alhaji Umar ‘M’ who was vehemently supported by his Hausa folks from the local community.

    His arrest by the Sango police station was necessitated to avoid the outbreak of an imminent ethnic clash.
