Archbishop Desmond Tutu has been readmitted to a hospital in
South Africa days after being released following a surgery, according to family
sources. Mr. Tutu was diagnosed, and has had a persistent battle with
complications from, prostate cancer in 1997.
Mr. Tutu has been described as “the voice for the voiceless”
by former South African president Nelson Mandela. Mr. Tutu is one of the
world’s most recognizable human rights leaders and chaired the South African
Truth and Reconciliation Commission after being appointed by Mr. Mandela.
Family sources told the media that he underwent minor
surgery earlier this month to address reoccurring infections. According to his
wife, Leah Tutu, his surgical wounds began showing signs of infection.

Wishing Him quick recovery.
