The President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz,
stated today that the possible election of Donald Trump as a President of the
United States will be a problem for the European Union (EU) and the whole
world.
In statements to media, Schulz described Trump as
irresponsible and said that it would be a critical moment if the U.S.
government is in the hands of a man like him, who considers specialized
knowledge as 'elitist crap'.
The German politician warned today that Trump's victory in
the November elections could encourage others to imitate him in Europe, where a
rise of ultra-nationalism has been seen in recent months.
The parliamentary leader stated in March this year that the
Republican candidate for the Presidency of the United States is the kind of
person looking for a scapegoat for problems but never concrete solutions. He
lacks international experience, so it would be 'extremely dangerous' if he
takes office.
