GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO PLEDGES 100,000 JOBS FOR KOGI STATE YOUTHS

The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has said his administration plans to empower 100,000 youths in the state to prevent them from becoming hooligans and tools in the hands of politicians.
Bello, who described his administration as youth-oriented, stated this on Monday at the Kogi State Government House while addressing a crowd that accompanied him back from the Eid-el-Kabir prayer in Lokoja
    .
A statement made available to our correspondent quoted the governor as urging Nigerians to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari in the face of the prevailing economic challenges in the country.
He called for unity and peaceful co-existence among his people, which he said would set the tone for foreign investments in the state.
Bello said, “We are doing our best to woo foreign investors to the state and without absolute peace and unity among the people, the state cannot enjoy such opportunity.”
Meanwhile the Chief Imam of Lokoja, Alhaji Abdullahi Baba, has urged Muslims to eschew bad conducts but to love one another.
He said in his sallah sermon that, “It is imperative for Muslims to embrace good conduct which is the basis of the Eid-El-Kabir.”
