    INEC names Jimoh Ibrahim as PDP candidate for Ondo State


    The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has named Jimoh Ibrahim as candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the November 26 governorship election in Ondo state.


    Nick Dazang, the commission’s head of publicity, disclosed this to TheCable on Thursday, saying details would be out later.

    Ibrahim is the candidate of the Ali Modu Sheriff faction of the party.

    Eyitayo Jegede, believed to enjoy the support of Olusegun Mimiko, the incumbent governor, emerged candidate of the Ahmed Makarfi faction.

    A graduate of law from the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife, Osun state, Ibrahim is a billionaire businessman.
