"Is it a crime for him to earn £140, 000 in a week? I don't think it is," Amokachi noted. "Mikel is 30 years old, he should make all the money that he can make. For me, I'm very happy that he had the opportunity to earn that kind of money," the former Super Eagles Assistant Coach added.
"Half of the Brazilian national team players are playing in China so why not Nigeria?"
Speaking on the increment in the number of teams to the world Cup, Amokachi said it was a welcomed development. He however, noted that the new arrangement now means the participating teams will have to play more games to win the competition. On the additional four slots for Africa, Amokachi said
"we have to wait and see if it will work. It is well overdue, anyway."
