A Kano-based group, Kano Project Protection Agency (Kano PRO-PA) has commended Kwankwaso Women Empowerment Scheme (KWES) and Dangote Foundation for making judicious use of money and other resources given to them for the empowerment of 85
women.
It was recalled that KWES was established when Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso was governor of Kano State. Presenting certificate of recognition and monetary reward amounting to N825, 000 to the beneficiaries, the Chairman of PRO-PA, Mahmud Sani, said the NGO was committed to ensuring that people-oriented projects get desired support and attention.
We learnt that the reward came in four batches as 15 women were given N20, 000, another 15 got 15, 000 each, the third batch of 15 women received N10, 000, while 30 other beneficiaries who were not given certificates received a token of N5, 000 each.
